Projects

MANY THANKS to all who came out to SummerWorks 2013 for Salome’s Clothes – Body Theatre’s first production.  It was a great success and we look forward to seeing you at our next project presentation!

The splendid cast and Clare Preuss’s inventive direction and the design by Michelle Ramsay (lighting) and Andrea Schregenberger (set and costume) make this a festival standout.

Salome’s Clothes by Donna-Michelle St. Bernard

Donna-Michelle St. Bernard’s subtle yet powerful script leaves one wanting to shout in protest from one’s seat as the remarkable mother willfully blinds herself in the name of stability and comfort.” Artsvox, August 12, 2013

Inspired by events unfolding in Cote d’Ivoire, Salome’s Clothes symbolically illuminates the potential cost of our globalized demand for short-term material comfort.  Are we selling our future for worthless trinkets?
